Post-Graduation Reflections

WONDERING IF YOU PEAKED TOO EARLY.

Follow for more honest conversations like this.

Remember those campus days? The intellectual high, the endless possibilities, the certainty that every door would open after graduation. We were taught to chase excellence, to compete, to succeed. The transition from that bubble to the "real world" however, is often far weirder than anyone warned us about. One moment, you're debating philosophy in a common room, the next, navigating corporate politics or client demands, feeling a profound sense of disorientation.

Suddenly, the clear metrics of academic success are gone. The constant intellectual stimulation feels replaced by different kinds of challenges. Many of us grapple with a quiet question: "Is this it?" After years of relentless striving, the professional world can feel less like a triumphant ascent and more like a series of unexpected hurdles. The pressure doesn't disappear; it just morphs. Mental health becomes a silent battle for many, as the drive that propelled us through late-night study sessions now pushes us towards burnout in the cubicle or Zoom call. Imposter syndrome, a familiar campus visitor, now takes up permanent residence.

It’s okay to feel this way. It’s okay to acknowledge that the journey from campus to career isn’t always linear, glamorous, or even what we expected. That feeling of peaking early? It's a common undercurrent. But your story isn’t over. This is just a new chapter, requiring new definitions of success and well-being. Let’s talk about it.
