Remember those days? The relentless grind, the unspoken competition for that perfect internship, the one that promised to make a significant impact on your resume. You’d spend hours crafting applications for clubs, not just for the camaraderie, but for the chance to articulate a grand vision for your leadership, for the world, or at least for the club’s next big event. We all did it. It was part of the unspoken curriculum.

And then there was the networking. The calculated conversations where you effortlessly wove in how your diverse experiences created powerful synergy for whatever ambitious project or career path you were pursuing. We learned to speak that language, didn’t we? The language of high aspirations, strategic moves, and a constant awareness of how every action contributed to building a narrative of success.

Did you even go to [Ivy] if you didn't find yourself in a frantic study group, dissecting a case study while subtly assessing everyone's future impact on the world? Or if you didn't join a club whose mission statement included words like "transformative" and "pioneering," where your vision for its future was more important than your actual attendance record?

It’s a shared experience, this unique blend of ambition, expectation, and the almost comical sincerity with which we embraced the lingo of success. Looking back, it’s less about judgment and more about a knowing nod of recognition. We were all striving, learning the unspoken rules of a world that valued not just what you achieved, but how eloquently you could articulate its impact through your vision and the synergy of your efforts.
