INVENTING RECIPES WITH VENDING MACHINE ITEMS.

Follow us for more tales from the dorms, from mice to midnight debates!

Remember those late nights? The dining hall was a distant memory, the library glowed with a hundred screens, and your brain, buzzing from an intensive seminar or an all-nighter with a complex problem set, demanded sustenance. That gnawing hunger wasn't going to be satisfied by anything fancy. No, this was the realm of the vending machine, our unsung culinary academy.

Who among us didn't master the art of the "Sweet & Savory Scramble"? Crushing a bag of corn chips into a cup of instant noodles, maybe melting a candy bar over the top for that extra, inexplicable layer of flavor. Or the bold experiment of using lukewarm soda when the hot water dispenser decided to take an unscheduled break, leading to the infamous "Cola Ramen" that, surprisingly, wasn't entirely awful after the third caffeine-fueled hour. We became alchemists of necessity, turning unlikely combinations of chips, cookies, and energy drinks into meals that sustained us through the final push.

These weren't just improvised snacks; they were rituals. They were shared laughs over questionable concoctions, fueled by the camaraderie of shared deadlines and the collective delirium of academic rigor. These makeshift feasts, often consumed in dimly lit common rooms while deep philosophical discussions or frantic exam prep sessions unfolded, are etched into our collective memory. They taught us a fundamental truth about our experience: resourcefulness, the ability to innovate and make the absolute most of limited resources. It's a skill that transcended the dorm kitchen, serving us well far beyond those hallowed halls. Messy, often hilarious, and undeniably, uniquely ours.
