Dorm Meeting Memories

FIRST DORM MEETING = CHAOS AND PIZZA.

Follow for more deep dives into the traditions we loved (or secretly hated) during our formative years.

Remember that first gathering? The air thick with nerves, ambition, and the faint scent of cardboard and pepperoni. We were strangers, bright-eyed and slightly terrified, fresh from every corner of the globe, crammed into a common room. The Resident Advisor, radiating unsettling enthusiasm, tried valiantly to steer the ship, while we navigated the choppy waters of forced introductions and awkward icebreakers.

That pizza, inevitably lukewarm, became an unofficial sacrament. It was the common denominator, the silent witness to our first attempts at connection, our first hesitant steps into shared existence. One person already dissecting philosophy, another passionately explaining their start-up idea, someone else just trying to remember their roommate’s name. It felt a lot like chaos, didn't it? A beautiful, overwhelming, distinctly Ivy League kind of chaos.

This wasn't just a meeting; it was our unofficial induction. A world where brilliant minds would collide, collaborate, and occasionally, combust. It was the first echo of late-night study sessions, passionate debates, and lifelong friendships. That initial shared slice of mediocre pizza, those first hesitant conversations, laid the groundwork for everything that followed. The start of something legendary, even if at the time, it just felt like a Tuesday night with too many new faces and not enough napkins. What a ride it was, right?
